Convection fonts were originally designed exclusively for Microsoft Xbox entertainment system. Convection was created to capture Xbox personality and was used in print and on screen for user interface.

The fonts are designed for European languages written with Latin, Greek and Cyrillic scripts. The condensed weight has a smaller character set only covering certain European languages.
