Xbox for Windows brings PC gaming features together in one app. Browse game recommendations, launch titles, see what friends are playing, and chat while playing together. You can also shop for games, downloadable content and add-ons.

• Launch games: Open games from the app.
• Connect with friends: See what friends are playing and chat while you play together.
• Shop: Purchase games, DLC and add-ons from the Store.

Game Pass and availability

The app is free to install on Windows. PC Game Pass is sold separately, so access to games through that service requires a separate purchase or membership. You can also use the app to shop for individual titles and add-ons.

How to install

1. Select Download on this page to open the app’s Microsoft Store listing.
2. Check that the listing is for Xbox by Microsoft Corporation.
3. Select the install button in Microsoft Store and follow its instructions.
