YouTube for iPhone and iPad: Watch, Discover and Share

YouTube brings video viewing, channel subscriptions and creator tools together in one app for iPhone and iPad. Use it to find something to watch, keep up with channels you follow, or create and share videos of your own.

Find videos and keep track of channels

The Home feed offers recommendations, while Subscriptions shows recent videos from channels you follow. In Library, you can revisit videos you have watched or liked and find items saved for later. Explore helps you browse topics such as music, gaming, news and learning, as well as popular and emerging content. Some Explore features are available only in select countries.

Join in or publish your own videos

Comments, posts, Stories, Premieres and live streams give viewers ways to interact with creators and other community members. If you want to publish, you can create or upload videos in the app and livestream from your mobile device.

This makes YouTube useful both for casual viewing and for keeping up with specific creators, sharing your own work, or engaging with an audience in real time.

Free to install, with optional paid features

YouTube is free to install, but some features require payment. In select countries, channel memberships offer paid monthly support and channel-specific perks. YouTube Premium is also available in select countries; its benefits include ad-free viewing, background playback, saved videos for offline viewing and access to YouTube Music Premium. If you subscribe through Apple, the subscription renews automatically unless you turn off renewal. You can manage it in your account settings.

Family options vary by country. These may include the separate YouTube Kids app or a parent-supervised YouTube experience. The App Store age rating for YouTube is 12.
