Motorola Notifications for Android: Updates and Tips

Motorola Notifications is an opt-in service for Motorola smartphone owners. It can send information about software updates, tips and tricks, Motorola products and services, and invitations to share feedback through surveys.

What you can use it for

• Keep up with notifications about software updates for your Motorola device.
• Read tips and tricks related to using Motorola products.
• See information about new Motorola products and services.
• Choose whether to take part in surveys about your experience with Motorola.

This may suit Motorola users who want product-related information and are comfortable receiving occasional updates. It is not a general news feed: its notifications focus on Motorola products and services.

Availability and notification preferences

The app may be provided as an update on most Motorola devices, but the notification service is activated only for specific products and countries. Its availability and the information offered can therefore vary by location and device. To start receiving notifications, opt in during device setup, in the Motorola Notifications app, or through an invitation delivered by notification. You can opt out later using the unsubscribe option in the app or in a received notification.

Motorola's store information says data collection depends on the services available in your country and the services you opt into. Data for a service is not collected when that service is unavailable to you or you have not opted into it.

How to install

1. Tap Download on this page to open Motorola Notifications on Google Play.
2. Check that the app name is Motorola Notifications and the developer is Motorola Mobility LLC.
3. Tap the install button on Google Play and, if you want the service, choose whether to opt in when prompted.

The app is free to install. Keep in mind that having it on your device does not necessarily mean the notification service is available for your product or country.
