Microsoft PowerPoint for Android: Create and Edit Presentations
Microsoft PowerPoint for Android lets you create, edit and present slide decks from a phone or tablet. It is useful for making a quick update while away from your computer, reviewing a presentation before a meeting, or building slides from a template while travelling.
Make changes and present from your device
Start with a blank presentation or a template, then add and arrange slides, text and images using touch controls. When a file is saved to OneDrive, you can continue working on it across devices. For a group project, share a presentation stored in OneDrive and invite others to view or edit it; access and collaboration options depend on the file and account settings.
You can also use PowerPoint to rehearse a talk with Speaker Coach, formerly called Presenter Coach. It gives spoken-delivery feedback such as reminders about pacing and filler words. Microsoft 365 access may be required for some features, and availability can vary by account and device.
Useful for everyday presentation tasks
- Work or study: prepare slides, make last-minute edits and review comments on shared decks.
- Meetings: open a presentation on your phone and, if your phone and display support Miracast, cast the slideshow to a larger screen.
- Practice: rehearse a presentation and review Speaker Coach feedback before presenting.
- Working offline: create a presentation or work on a file saved on your device without an internet connection. For a cloud file, open it online before going offline; changes can sync when you reconnect.
Free installation and Microsoft 365 features
The app is free to install and offers core presentation features, while some premium tools require an eligible Microsoft 365 subscription. Google Play lists in-app purchases. Check the feature and account requirements before relying on a particular tool; subscriptions purchased through the app may renew automatically unless cancelled through the relevant account settings.
PowerPoint is most useful when you want to make practical changes on a small screen or keep a presentation moving between Android and other devices. For detailed slide design, a computer may be more convenient. Internet access is needed for cloud syncing and online collaboration, and wireless presenting depends on compatible hardware.
