Google Sheets for Android: Create and Edit Spreadsheets
Google Sheets is a spreadsheet app for Android from Google LLC. It lets you create or edit spreadsheets on your device, work with data and charts, and collaborate with others in the same file. It can suit students, individuals and teams who need to review or update a spreadsheet away from a computer.
Work with data and Excel files
Enter and sort data, format cells, use formulas, and find or replace content. You can also view charts, insert them into a spreadsheet, and use smart suggestions to get insights or apply formatting. Google Sheets can open, edit and save Excel files, which is useful when sharing work with people who use that format.
Collaborate and keep working offline
Share a spreadsheet and work on it at the same time as other collaborators. Comments let you leave feedback or respond to notes in the file. The app saves changes automatically as you type, and its offline mode lets you create, view and edit spreadsheets without an internet connection.
For example, you could update a shared project tracker, sort a list of figures, or review a chart while away from your desk. Google Workspace subscribers have access to additional features, such as edit notifications and chat within a spreadsheet; these are separate from the app’s core spreadsheet tools.
